Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: 30 July 2026

1. Authorized users

Only explicitly authorized administrators may access or operate non-public components of the Email Infrastructure Lab environment.

2. Permitted activities

Permitted use includes system administration, configuration, controlled protocol testing, security review, documentation, monitoring, backup, recovery testing, and other legitimate research activity within the approved lab scope.

3. Prohibited activities

  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, list bombing, or address harvesting.
  • Phishing, impersonation, credential theft, fraud, or deceptive messaging.
  • Malware delivery, command-and-control activity, exploitation, or unauthorized scanning.
  • Open relay operation or unauthorized third-party SMTP access.
  • Evasion of provider controls, blocklists, rate limits, security monitoring, or abuse review.
  • Use that violates applicable law, provider policy, or the rights of another party.

4. Testing safeguards

Controlled tests should use authorized accounts and recipients, limited scope, clear stop conditions, and reviewable logs. Test data should avoid unnecessary personal or confidential information.

5. Enforcement

Suspected misuse may result in immediate restriction of access, preservation of relevant evidence, configuration changes, notification to the hosting provider, or other corrective action.

6. Reporting

Suspected abuse should be reported to abuse@emailinfralab.com.
